To allow national authorities, notified bodies, manufacturers and other key actors to fully focus on coronavirus-related priorities, the European Council and Parliament adopted Regulation 2020/561 on 23 April amending Regulation (EU) 2017/745 concerning medical devices regarding the date of application of some of its provisions, which was postponed for 12 months (May 2021).
